Graduate certificate in strategic human resources
HR practitioners also hold bachelor’s degrees in fields other than human resources. The graduate certificate in Human Resource Management (HRM) is designed to help students gain basic Human Resource Management skills in five fields.
You must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college with a 2.75 or higher overall grade point average (G.P.A.) to be accepted to the certificate program in good standing.
Applicants must also show that they have the necessary skills to excel in graduate-level HR courses. Related work experience, GMAT ratings, or professional certification may be used to demonstrate this (e.g., PHR or SPHR).
Students in the Human Resource Management graduate certificate program can apply to UW-Master Whitewater’s of Business Administration program if they meet the program’s admission requirements. Certificate courses taken as part of an MBA program can be applied against the degree at a later date.
Human resources management graduate certificate
The quarter structure governs our academic calendar (1 quarter = 10 weeks). Multiple beginning dates are available at the start of each Quarter and Term, in October, November, January, February, April, May, July, and August, due to the program’s versatile structure and modular nature. The academic calendar is the same on all campuses.
Part-time students can earn a Graduate Certificate in 3 to 12 months, depending on the number of courses taken each quarter, course selection, and course planning; completing half the average number of courses takes twice as long as the full-time program. More classes would be available to finish earlier if working hours are more flexible. Students who take six or less courses per quarter are considered part-time. Only students with a national passport or a residence permit are eligible for part-time studies.
Daytime courses between 8.30 and 18.30, seminar courses with visiting professors on consecutive days, online courses available 24/7, and evening courses from 19.00 to 22.00 and weekend courses on Saturdays are available at some campuses, as well as any variation in a blended format. Courses are usually scheduled in three-hour periods.
