In Assistive Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors in Data Science, Human Factors in Medical Devices and Systems, and Manufacturing Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering offers five certificate programs. All certificate programs require the completion of four courses and are open to students with a bachelor’s degree.
Students in this certificate program, which combines human factors engineering and mechanical engineering, will learn the fundamentals of design in both fields and apply them to the design of assistive devices to solve real-world problems.
