The National Preparedness Institute organizes continuing education classes and trainings for practitioners in the fields of criminal justice, fire science, emergency medicine, and emergency management and administration.

This certification meets the requirements of the Florida Department of Health, Division of Emergency Preparedness and Community Support, Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight, and IRSC EMT Program, and is an employment requirement provided by the Florida Department of Health for anyone driving an ambulance.

AAG Live, an internationally acclaimed, full-service production company made up of live event, broadcast, and recording industry professionals, has partnered with Indian River State College (IRSC) to offer a new Event & Venue Management Certification as part of the IRSC Associate Degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management. The intensive curriculum—26 days of hands-on learning and classroom instruction—is designed to mimic the intensity of a typical live event and entertainment schedule. Completers of the program receive 12 credits toward an IRSC A.S. in Hospitality & Tourism Management as well as 16 industry certifications.

The course will teach you everything you need to know about event and venue management.”
Students in the Event & Venue Management Certification program receive top-notch instruction from industry experts and work with top-of-the-line equipment. Students train for the following industry certifications in addition to taking four college-credit courses that provide a foundation for a career in the hospitality and tourism sector:

Indian River State College (IRSC) invites new and returning students who are reviewing their current skill sets to enroll during the Fall 2020 semester at IRSC, where they can learn new skills and certifications by December to help them find new jobs, increase job security, or take the leap into entrepreneurship.

Students can receive IRSC Technical and Upskill certifications in as little as 16 weeks if they register for classes beginning August 19.
Financial assistance is available to those who qualify, and registration is now open. These certificate programs’ courses are credit-bearing, which means they can be applied to Associate in Science degree programs. It is necessary to have a GED or a high school diploma.
Students have access to the Office of Career and Transfer Services, which can assist with designing resumes and cover letters, honing interviewing skills, and guaranteeing internship placement and access to employers, in addition to excellent academic resources.

The program gives high school seniors the chance to consider a career in manufacturing as an option. It’s a free week-long program that immerses students in the manufacturing environment through facility tours and one-on-one conversations with owners and plant managers at the end of May.
Students from Vero Beach and Sebastian River high schools, the Charter High School, private schools, as well as students who are home-schooled or working on their GEDs, are all invited to participate.
