Introduction to Pharmacy Technology, Introduction to Pharmacology and Advanced Pharmacy Calculations, and Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam Preparation make up the Pharmacy Technician Certificate program. These three classes are offered in that order. Each course must be passed with a C or better in order to progress through the program. Students participate in externships in addition to the third class. Many pharmacies collaborate with CSU Bakersfield. Externships help students prepare for real-world situations while also allowing them to put their expertise to the test. This enables students in the CSUB Pharmacy Technician Certificate program to excel in the field.
