How to get a copy of a birth certificate

Birth records from Connecticut that are less than 100 years old are not available to the public. You must be able to prove that you are related to the person whose birth is recorded in one of the following ways to obtain a copy of a birth certificate:

The Manchester Town Clerk, or the Town Clerk in the town where their birth happened, may issue certified copies of birth certificates to people who were born in Manchester or whose parents lived in Manchester at the time of their birth.

Observations: Any request for a birth certificate must include a copy of a valid, government-issued photographic identification, such as a driver’s license.
