Before an Apostille can be applied to a Certificate of Free Sale, it must first be notarized. You should go to a local notary or have a notary come to you. A notary will be present at the Chamber of Commerce to notarize the signature of the Chamber’s official. The notary may attach a document called a “Acknowledgment” to the signed page once the signer acknowledges their signature on the document. In some states, the notary’s signature and seal are sufficient. The notarial wording is required in other states.
Apostilles can be difficult to understand. Do not entrust this process to untrained workers or non-professionals who are unfamiliar with the Apostille process or the standards of specific countries. It’s possible that your paperwork will be dismissed, costing you time and money. Make sure this doesn’t happen to you!
We will process documents from the US Department of State in Washington, D.C., the Secretary of the District of Columbia (D.C.), and select Consulate / Embassy offices in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, CA.
