If the certificate is on file, the fee for a birth certificate search is $15.00, which includes the issuance of one certified copy to a qualified applicant. The cost of further copies will be $15.00 each. The fee for searching is non-refundable and non-transferable. All fees are valid for one year from the date of receipt. An extra service fee applies to online and phone orders.

Unattended Home Births: (births that were not attended by a medical professional) should be registered by the parents within the first year of the child’s life. Home births that are attended by a state-licensed midwife must be registered within the first year of the baby’s birth.
