Employers are always looking for a competitive advantage. Employers require employees with the foundational skills that distinguish them as workplace ready, and they recognize this by hiring people who have earned a Career Readiness Certification (CRC) certificate. A Career Readiness Certificate can be earned by passing the ACT WorkKeys® assessments in Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents (CRC). RegiSTARTM is a web-based system that manages and reports on National Career Readiness Certificates. RegiSTARTM scans the ADWS test site for ACT WorkKeys® scores and registers certificates in the ACT national database automatically. Administrators should use this system to obtain certificates and test data reports. Additionally, online accounts are created automatically for individuals to access and share certificate information.

Using data to promote access to high quality work based

When established goals are met, ACT Work Ready Communities (WRC) empowers counties and states with process, data, and tools deployed in a common workforce development framework to drive economic growth by certifying counties as work ready communities.
To create a community-oriented workforce development process that links, aligns, and matches the county’s workforce development efforts to the needs of business and industry, the common criteria are based on the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT WorkKeys NCRC) and business engagement. The goal is for all participating counties to be certified work-ready by the end of the program.
This national effort is being led by ACT, which is hosting Boot Camps to help participants share best practices, adapt the national implementation framework to their specific needs, and develop career paths aligned with growth industries.

Job seekers receive a Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze certificate based on their WorkKeys assessment scores, or they may identify areas where they need more training.
